Great battle that was cloe.
#1 = J Slash - Xcel came out strong and had a consistent round. J Slash elevated the battle higher with his intensity combined with a bar heavy performance. Clearest round of the battle. #2 = Xcel - Debatable round that was VERY heavy on both sides. This round ensured this was gonna be a high quality battle! Xcel edged it to me. #3 = J Slash - Another debatable round. The 2 rebuttals by Xcel were slept on somewhat and the talk was nice the entire round. Slash had bar of the night with the XStill/StealX scheme that stole the round and the battle to me. Amazing battle that I score 2-1 J Slash Win.
Closely contested battle
D Mo = The 1st Holy itch was ok, the 2nd Holy itch was good. Momentary stumble hurts if its for $. Solid versatility with the jokes. Linebacker was solid. Yeezy line was hard! Street bars and the Abraham part into the C's steppin was a high quality chunk of bars. Weapons line was nice. Dead Presidents was nice. 6er was ok. Next few were ok. Crunchy Roll into streets bars were hard! Football/ya girl was solid. Pimpin was sneaky nice. Spades was ok. Choppy line or two were solid if delivery was clean. Always loved his ender. Holypen = Opener was ok. letters into Justice Lg was nice! Stumble on Worthy bar. Period line was good. Intl into unsuccessful didnt hit for me. Toys bars needed a cleaner delivery. Avatar was solid. Burrito was ok. Herro was solid too. Nerve Damage was heavily slept on to me! Sinners bars were ok. Next stretch was ok. Kick bar was sneaky nice. Cap different was solid. Preacher line was good. Vick line was solid and high IQ. Ending needed a lil more energy. * Quality performances from both. Each had a stumble and both also had 2-3 spot that needed a cleaner delivery, but both spit the vast majority very well. 1-0/10-9.5 edge W = D Mo on bar count total, but its a 55/45 battle to me that can EASILY go either way in my opinion. * I heard this was a money on the line battle. If so I would watch the clock harder, just cuz D Mo had to rap obviously longer than Holypen did, but I dont know if that was even contractually designated.

T Boogie vs Eyse Kold
This was T Boogie’s best performance and material so far. The improvement is showing! Eyse Cold is a 10+ year vet that was the complete package and showed the levels. Super dope battle on both sides.
2-1 or 3-0 J Slash
J Slash = 10-8 kill - This round was a blow out. Slash legit mightve had the best round of the entire event. Snypa was solid, but its not close at all. Snypa = 10-9 edge - Without the fake aggression, this round might go the other way. Regardless, Snypa did rap well and has a quality pen. Slash had a very strong round too. J Slash = 10-9 clear - Slash mustve took offense to the 1-1's in the crowd, cuz that 3rd was another round of levels displayed. Snypa had bars in this round, but needs a level of passion without the extra. J Slash 29-27 W.

This battle isn't good. Snake's first is the only clean round. Snake's second and Danny's third are the best rounds. Snake 2-1
I was looking forward to this battle. They've both been good lately and had a long time to think of material. But Snake's 1st is the only clean round. Snake's first is pretty good and the beginning of his second is great and funny too but he starts to choke maybe halfway through his round and does some mixtape bars and ends it early. His third is ok but less clean. Despite a good start, Danny isn't clean in any of his rounds. His first two rounds material are kind of a mixed bag but below his standards overall i think, but his third is really good and direct. Since neither of them were clean the third I gave that to Danny because I liked his material a lot better. Aside from the material mostly being below par aside from Snake's 2nd and Danny's 3rd, maybe there was too much animosity. On an interview after, Snake said he made danny choke, and I didn't believe him but his defense was extremely effective by just turning away from danny and not looking at him. Also in Snake's first round Danny tried to get water and Snake stopped him. Considering that it feels like we're in the devil's mouth in the south and the Ace Amin vs Chef Trez battle also got fucked up by dehydration, maybe it's a problem with the venue too. I hope Danny bounces back from this. I still want to see him battle lux and mook but more importantly I want him to be able to take a break and battle less. I wish these guys weren't in the habit of writing last minute just because it works 80% of the time. Snake has been good lately. He's stepped up his writing and he's entertaining to watch. He definitely could have been cleaner this battle but I'd still be down to see him on Summer Madness.
